The Cherokee District Web site is an informational resource for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturing Crews, and Scout Leaders located in Western Jefferson County, Alabama. We serve youth in the communities including Bessemer, Brighton, Concord, Fairfield, Hueytown, McCalla, Oak Grove, Pleasant Grove and Sylvan Springs.

Our Scouts enjoy many activities including camping, hiking, bike riding, playing games, team competition, crafts, etc. Generally, we have FUN! While having fun, our boys learn skills, build character and learn moral values, all of which help develop respected adult men.
